Presidents Day 2024 Camp Trip in Panamint Valley (one valley over from Death Valley)

An underwater travel log of our Belize dive livaboard.

Joe Tezak and me surfacing after drift dive at Anacapa Island in April. It doesn't get much flatter than this. Too bad visibility underwater was less than 10 feet AND green!

Annual End of Year Diving 2022. Got out just before the storms!

Not bad, considering most of the rest of the country is under snow and ice. Dolphins, Seabirds, Pyrosomes, oh my!

Janine touches some history with one of the anchors from the Winfield Scott, which sank in 1853 off Anacapa Island. Every once in a while, a gold coin finds its way above the seabed. Of course, you'd turn it in to the Park Service...right?

Windy Cave as seen from the boat.

Joe Tezak swims through Windy Cave. This is only safe when there is little to no surge. In other words, rarely do you get to go inside.

The voyage could not have been better with seas as smooth as a baby's bottom and perfect weather.

The Sea Bird only has 51 guests and a 10-foot draft so we could get into small areas where the big ships couldn't.

No shortage of water in Alaska.

Of course, the water has to come from somewhere.
